Vienna, Expert meeting 12th – 15th of October 2017
AbelaPharm held an expert meeting in Vienna, hosting over 50 medical practitioners from all over Serbia.
The event had medical professionals speak on a number of topics – one of which, was the importance of probiotics and the countless benefits related to them. With the help of appropriate visual aids, medical staff members were able to depict the necessity of probiotics to society as a whole.
The probiotic strains found inside Bulardi, Bulardi junior, Flobian and Enterobiotik were especially emphasized on since, many medical journals and studies prove that they provide relief to a number of conditions such as – Antibiotic-colitis, Clostridium difficile infections, Traveler’s diarrhea, Functional bloating and Irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr. Miodrag Krstic of AbelaPharm represented the hosting firm’s probiotic line, bringing focus to their innovative “ Flow Pack Technology ” system – Developed and implemented by the company in order to ensure that external factors (Light, Heat and Oxygen) are unable to come in contact with or alter the quality of their probiotic goods. The technology is comprised of a three-layer packaging system which is injected with Nitrogen.
Another highlight of the event was the findings of a study conducted on adults suffering from Asthma and Chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD).
The sample in the study comprised of 100 patients, who’s coughs were monitored over the duration of 10 days. Half of the patients were given PropoMucil capsules (300 mg of N-acetylcysteine + 1.300 mg propolis/day) while the other half were given a placebo, antibiotic therapy and a number of prescribed medicines.
The results of this study – presented by Dr. Dejan Zujovic, clearly depicted that the sample given PropoMucil had a far more positive outcome since, the subjects’ secretion production dropped drastically.
Dr.Zujovic explained the findings of this study using interactive work-groups in order to aid doctors in selecting appropriate probiotics depending on certain cases.
Once the expert meeting was done, the AbelaPharm team paid a visit to the world-renowned AKH Wien hospital in order to network and exchange information with likeminded medical professionals.
Overall, the expert meeting held by AbelaPharm was a success – all of the attendees were able to network and engage with colleagues in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
